Soft & Warm Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 oz white chocolate almond bark ((optional))
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar. Add egg & molasses & mix again.
  2. In a separate bowl combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients & mix until combined.
  4. Roll dough into 1” balls and then roll in sugar.
  5. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Do NOT overbake, these cookies will be soft & delicious!
  6. Optional white chocolate dipping
  7. Let cookies cool to room temperature before dipping in white chocolate.
  8. Heat white chocolate in a double boiler until melted & smooth. Dip the corner of each cookie and place on wax paper until cooled completely.
