Chicken Divan & Chicken a la King

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 4 oz mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cup chicken
  • 2 cup chicken Broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked broccoli (Divan only)
Instructions
  1. Sauté butter, onions and mushrooms till crisp-tender.
  2. Add flour, stir until mixed.
  3. Slowly add broth – stirring constantly.
  4. Add chicken and heat.
  5. Stir in milk.
  6. Place in a serving container and top with parsley.
  7. Divan: Place rice pilaf in a serving dish, topped with Sauce. Top with broccoli in a decorative fashion and drizzle with the gravy.
  8. A la King: Serve over fresh, buttered toast
